AI Transparency

Effective October 5, 2026. This policy explains the conditions for using AI-assisted tools at Endings Unpacked. It sets editorial obligations and does not claim that all existing articles have undergone an AI-use audit.

Permitted assistance

AI tools may assist with outlines, research organization, translation, language editing and formatting. Tool output is not an authoritative source and cannot establish a plot event, quotation, release date or production announcement.

Human responsibility

The named author and editor remain responsible for the published text. They must verify factual claims using the film or episode and attributable sources, review interpretations, remove unsupported material and check links and quotations. AI use must never be presented as direct viewing, an interview, access to a screening or another experience that did not occur.

Material use and disclosures

When AI substantially generates the analysis or published text, the article should carry a reader-facing disclosure describing its role and the human review performed. Routine spelling or grammar assistance does not require a separate article notice. An AI system must not receive a fabricated human biography or byline.

Images and synthetic media

AI-generated illustrations must be labeled when readers could mistake them for an official still, real event or authentic image. Do not use a synthetic scene as evidence of what happens in a film or episode. Respect rights, image credits and applicable permissions.

Data and corrections

Do not submit reader messages, private contact information or confidential material to an external AI service without an appropriate basis and disclosure. Errors introduced through AI assistance are subject to the same Corrections Policy as other factual errors.
